Please explain the outstanding contributions of the nominee during the month of nomination

Kenyatta moved onto my floor at the beginning of this semester. Ever since she moved onto my floor I have noticed a significant difference in my floor’s atmosphere. Kenyatta has a wonderful personality. She is helpful and reliable. She is also a responsible individual. She has wonderful time management skills, and she is completely deserving of this reward.

Kenyatta originally lived on the first floor. Her friendly personality was the driving force of her move to the third floor. Her roommate was never around, and she did not want to miss out on the roommate experience of collage life. Her old Resident Assistant Liz Kelly can attest to her friendly personality. After going through the protocol for a room change, she was originally placed in room 310, but the room was not quite a fit. She came to me looking for help. She informed me that she wanted a roommate, and that she didn’t care what type of person she roomed with. She was confident that her personality would win them over. After she was moved into 328 she made the third floor her home.

Kenyatta went to work meeting every girl on our hall. She became friends with most of them. She has had the largest impact on her roommate. Before Kenyatta moved in her roommate stayed to herself. After Kenyatta came I have seen her roommate’s personality turn around entirely. I often see the two of them in groups of other residents. They always appear to be having a good time.

Kenyatta is also in the military. This means that she has to juggle training and school work. As I stated before she has wonderful time management skills. She is also reliable and takes the initiative to help with programming. She will offer suggestions for our hall programming. She will then follow through with helping me to execute them. I can admit that there are times when we have planned programs then I get lazy and try to put them off for a later date. Kenyatta steps up and encourages me to complete them. Unfortunately Kenyatta has informed me that she will not be able to attend college after this semester.

She told me that this has been a wonderful year; however she has decided to focus on the military. She said that she is glad she had the chance to experience college life. I would like for her college experience to be as positive and as memorable as possible. This award would do that.

With this award she would be recognized for the immense impact she has had on the lives of the Wofford residents. I am sure she would be grateful for it. I know that it would stand out in her memories of her college experience later in life. This award would encourage her to continue doing what she is doing in others lives. It is rare to find someone like Kenyatta. She is always a pleasure to be around, a motivator, and a helper. She deserves to be recognized for all that she is doing and has done.
