For this Of the Month Award I am nominating Brianna, the RA on Dickinson A1 for the University
of Delaware. There five stand out reasons why she should receive this award. The first reason is
that she is a very experienced RA. This is her senior year here at the University of Delaware and
also it is her 3rd year as an RA and her 2nd year as a Dickinson RA. This time has given her
much experience with the world of residential housing for the university, and because of this
experience she is the most qualified for this award. The second reason why she should receive
the award is because she is extremely organized. She is always on time to meetings and is
always easy to get into contact with; students will always know where she is because of her
“Where Am I?” status bored. The third reason why she should get this award is because she is
reliable. Whenever a student has a problem whether it is personal or technical they will be able
to see and she will help. She responds to questions quickly and reliably and answers all the
questions you have. The fourth reason why she should get this award is because she is a leader.
She is an RA mentor, which is not just an RA but also a person who mentors students and leads
them in their life at UD. If they are having trouble she is the one that they go to. She helps
students when they need it and she guides them in the right direction. She is obviously the
leader of our floor and makes sure that the floor does not get out of hand. The final reason why
she should receive this award is because she is kind. Being a kind RA is an important part of the
job. If you are too insensitive or if you are disrespectful to the people on your floor it is harder
to control them. She is a kindhearted person who helps people in need. She knows how to lead
our floor with out any disrespect. She cares for the people she leads and this is what makes her
a great RA. All of these aspects, organization, reliability, experience, leadership and kindness,
make her the perfect candidate for the RA ”Of the Month” Award. Word Count: 392
