November was quite the great month for Smith Hall Government. Through
all the hard work and dedication our hall put in for the activities and
initiatives of the month, there wouldn't have been nearly the same
amount of success had we not gotten direction from our adviser Ashley
Baggot. Normally hall governments are filled with executive members who
have been involved in hall government before. This case doesn't rang
true for Smith hall gov, as not only are most of the members freshmen,
but most of the executive board are also freshmen. With the youth of
the delegation some may find it tough for us to be productive. This is
not the case as we have strived for excellence through out the year.
All of these successes we have had came in part to the advice of Ashley.
As a freshman Hall President, I have relied a lot on the advice of
Ashley as I am not familiar with the traditional happenings of Hall
Government. With this advice I feel that I have done a better job as a
President and in turn the hall is heading towards a good direction. One of the things Ashley did that should be honored with an Of The Month
award is help with our Hall Government Executive retreat. As an
executive board we felt that we would be better leaders and be able to
communicate better had we had some bonding time in the form of a
retreat. Helping us with the planning of the activities was Ashley.
She had brought games, dvds, chips, and pop all of which mad the activities even better. In short, please consider Ashley Baggot for an Advisor Of The Month
award. Without her help, the efforts and successes of those efforts
wouldn't be nearly as successful. Word Count: 300
