As an effort to help students with their studies, the housing department
has provided residence hall students with in hall tutoring services.
These drop in tutoring services has helped residences with many different
courses. I know many people who have taken advantage of this initiative
and have been told that due to it, they have done better in the class they
were having questions in. Earlier this semester, I was in need of help in
Biology 150. I feel that after attending tutoring sessions, I not only
knew more but was more confident with my knowledge of the Biology curriculum. This was evident as my grade in the class gradually went up
and I was able to complete the class with a good grade. I am very
grateful that housing has provided us residents with this service and
encourage other students to take advantage of the opportunity of these
tutoring sessions. Word Count: 152
