As the RHD of Noren Hall, Chris Graf tends to be a very busy guy during
the school year. As I assumed the role of president of Noren Hall this
semester, I was unsure of how much support and assistance I would
receive from Chris in my role as president. As it turns out, Chris has
been a great resource for me. In a mere month I have received a great
deal of support and motivation from Chris. He is always helpful in
answering any of my questions or helping through problems. For example,
I was struggling with building an authoritative presence in our Hall Gov
meetings at first. With advice from Chris, I was able to carefully
assert myself as the president. Chris has also helped me with numerous
other things related to hall government this month. I have found him to
be highly attached to helping everyone in the hall do what is best for
the hall. Chris motivates me to think about possible outcomes of
decisions and where I am leading discussions during hall gov. Chris
also motivates residents to have a positive presence on our campus. In
the month of January, Chris has gone from a simple acquaintance of mine,
to a mentor providing me with skills, ideas, and confidence that I will
be able to use for the rest of my life. Word Count: 228
