Please explain the outstanding contributions of the nominee during the month of nomination

Scott Pero has been an outstanding student this past month of March. Scott has traditionally struggled in school and has not received the grades he hopes for. School just does not come easy to him, so the traditional strategies do not work for him. Scott finally got sick of this and became determined to find ways that worked for him so he could earn grades that he was proud of. This past month Scott has been studying every night of the week for his classes to learn the material. This means that he has been spending hours upon hours each day and night in the study lounge and in the library trying to learn the material for his upper level courses. He has been studying more than 99% of the campus population does, and he has really been a role model to all students. Scott has even met with his professors this month to try to build a good relationship and to try to understand difficult material. This shows extreme dedication to his schoolwork that very few people on campus have. Scott is a very special student that others should try to emulate.

Scott is also one of the favorite residents of his Community Advisors (CA). Scott visits his CAs daily to see how they are and chat for a little bit. He always brightens their day with his chipper attitude. He even volunteered to help them with their monthly bulletin board. The CAs love his willingness to help and he makes their job a lot easier. Scott also frequently kept his CAs company at desk this past month. Desk can be lonely if no one is with you, so Scott took some time out of his day to keep them company. This is very rare for a student to do, and the CAs in the building wish more residents were like Scott.

Scott has also been a usual at programs this past month. It was rare to have a program without Scott there. Everyone loves it when he comes because he makes it a lot more fun, and more often than not he brings others with him. The support he shows his CAs is second to none. If the whole floor was full of Scott Peros, then it would be the greatest floor any campus had ever seen.

Scott also tries to reach a balance in his life by exercising frequently. He has recently started working out at the local gym to try to get in shape and stay healthy. It is a great way that he stays balanced and serves as a role model for the community. Not only does he workout, but he typically brings between one and 4 people with him when he works out. His attitude is contagious and everyone loves being around him.

Scott Pero has received countless "You Rocks" during his time here at Point and this past month he has done more than a "You Rock" can recognize him for. If anyone deserves an OTM it is Scott because he is the ideal student to have in a residence hall.
