Please explain the outstanding contributions of the nominee during the month of nomination

Brandyn is the office manager of Wallwork Hall. As the office manager, he helps to oversee the office workers, schedules their office hours and ensures they work them, while managing his own schedule. In addition, Brandyn does all of the billing for room lockouts and keeps track of shift changes for the staff. Including his office worker position, Brandyn is also a student who lives off campus and commutes to Indiana University of Pennsylvania for not only this job but for classes daily. While this might seem to take up much of one's time, Brandyn is also actively involved in APO which is a service Fraternity.

Even though Brandyn is not a resident of Wallwork Hall, he spends many hours within the building. In the month of March, Brandyn decided to volunteer to help with the COY (Community Of Year) bid and quickly became an active member of the COY team for Wallwork Hall, attending all of the meetings. Not only has he shared his ideas, he took on writing large sections of the bid while also making the cover page. Brandyn has put in hours of work along with the five other members of the COY team. However, what made Brandyn outstanding is the dedication he has shown to Wallwork Hall even though he is not actually a resident here or on residence hall council (RHC). Though Brandyn started to go to RHC meetings as they will often have talks and discussion idea's for COY. Brandyn also has volunteered to be apart of the the oral bid presentation, being actively involved with writing the script and music for the Wallwork skit. All of this work was done on Brandyn's own time and therefore this was not paid office work for him.

Though, Brandyn constantly goes above and beyond for Wallwork Hall. As I mentioned, one of Brandyn's task is to approve shift changes, not necessarily take them. Before Spring Break, Brandyn tried to find people to cover another workers shift the Sunday we opened from break. He wouldn't give up trying and even kept contacting people during Spring break. On Thursday before break ended, Brandyn contacted his supervisor to let him he could get no one. After Brandyn learned how important it was to have the office open to assist residents, he decided to cut his trip short and made sure he was back by 1:00pm on Sunday to have the office open! This shows a great amount of dedication that Brandyn has for his job and Wallwork Hall!

Brandyn deserves to be recognized because he is not only a office worker and is fantastic with his job and duties, but constantly volunteers within WallworK and wants to make it the best place possible. Without Brandyn this past month wouldn't have been such a success with opening after Spring break and Wallwork Hall's written Bid being submitted a day early. Brandyn is an amazing office worker that deserves to be recognized for Office Worker of the Month for March!
