Kristen Kientz has been an active part of the Hudson Perrin family for
three years; for the past two she has been a Desk Assistant working
for the front desk. For the month of March, she is definitely
deserving of recognition for her outstanding achievements at the desk.
When describing why Kristen deserves to be Desk Assistant of the
month, I have used a few words using the letters of her name! K – Knowledgeable! Being a senior here at Northwest Missouri State
University, she has definitely experienced many things that are able
to help her when serving a freshman population. Her customer service
skills are exceptional, and everyone that she helps, I know walks away
with the answer they are looking for. R – Responsible! Having a busy schedule is a part of many students’
lives; however, Kristen manages her schedule well. She is by far the
best Desk Assistant when it comes to letting me know when she needs
time off or needs to switch shifts. This helps me out a lot, so I can
find replacements in an efficient manner. I – Involved! Kristen strives to be the best she can be by being
involved in many activities on campus. This year she has been serving
as the President of Gamma Alpha Lambda (GAL); this has kept her very
busy, but she is still fully committed to her position as a Desk
Assistant. S – Social! There is not a moment that I don’t see Kristen talking to
someone at the desk. Residents want to talk to her, and she definitely
wants to get know the residents of the building. Building community is
huge in Kristen eyes, and it definitely shows in her relationships
with the residents. T – Thoughtful! There is a desk task to send me updates for any
supplies that we are running short on, and I can definitely rely on
Kristen to send me a detailed update on supplies. Not only does she
update me on supplies, she is sure to type a positive message in each
one of the emails. This truly makes a difference in my day, and I
appreciate her for these random acts of kindness. E – Entertaining! The Hudson Perrin Front Desk is definitely a fun
place to be, Kristen helps bring that atmosphere to life. She is a
very humorous person, and is always talking in silly voices, telling
jokes, and playing games at the desk. This really helps bring a
welcoming feeling to residents needing assistance; they feel
comfortable asking anything and this is very important to me as the
Desk Manager. N – Noteworthy! Kristen is definitely a noteworthy Desk Assistant for
the month of March. She goes above and beyond in her position. She
gets her tasks done efficiently, builds awesome relationships with
both residents and staff, and is an all-around amazing person. Not
only am I Kristen’s supervisor, but she has become an awesome friend
over the years! Her effort to get to know me on an individual basis
has shown how caring she is, and has made a major difference in my
time working for Residential Life. You should definitely recognize Kristen as the Desk Assistant OF THE
MONTH, if someone has made a difference in your life like she has in
mine!
