I am the James Smith Hall Building president and I would like to
nominate Tyler Adair for Resident Assistant of the Month. I have lived
in the residence halls for 3 years and without a doubt he is the best RA
that I have known. He goes above and beyond the requirements of his job
and goes out of his way to help his residents. Almost every week we
will have some type of impromptu social event from a TV night, to a
pasta dinner, and even just randomly have pizza for the residents.
About 3 weeks into the semester we had a new resident move onto the
floor and he organized a meet-and-great where most of the floor came
together and introduced ourselves and hung out in our lounge. Tyler has
also been a great help and resource in the Hall Government processes
that the Independence Complex has created. He has attended almost every
Hall Government Building meeting and typically knocks on doors and gets
residents to attend. In fact, he was the one who originally convinced
me to run for Building President, which I went on to win. He has
continued to support me in this position and is always coming up with
ideas that we can do to increase the social aspect of our building.
Tyler is close with all his residents and often will simply knock on our
door to hang out and see how we are doing which I have never seen an RA
do. In conclusion, I believe Tyler Adair is an excellent candidate for
an OTM.
