Amanda is truly an asset to our Carpenter Executive Council. At each
meeting she takes attendance and records minutes/notes. She promptly
distributes them to all members of the council, along with other
important reminders and communiques. She also takes extra initiative as
our Secretary to think of innovative ways to improve council activity.
For example, this month, she compiled council-member information into a
roster and distributed it to all members to streamline the communication
process and coordination of the council. Amanda is also an exemplary and friendly person, always there to greet
you on campus and inquire as to how you're doing. She has an exuberant
personality and the ability to make those around her feel good. For
example, we began a new attendance strategy for the month: Amanda asks
us a fun question that we answer to prove our presence (like: "What did
you dress up as for Halloween?"). She is always creative and clever when
it comes to these tasks. She also fulfills many other roles on the Drake campus: as a Student
Ambassador and a member of her professional fraternity. She truly goes
above and beyond to be involved in the activities and organizations on
campus. Furthermore, she is engaged in all that she does. For example,
this past month she participated in Des Moines's "Reggie's Sleepout"
fundraiser for the homeless children of Iowa with her business-major group. Additionally, Amanda is an excellent student who is focused and willing
to work hard, making her an exemplary student and a role model to others.
