Please explain the outstanding contributions of the nominee during the month of nomination

Nathan has had some challenges on his floor already this year and he has handled the situation with flying colors. A resident had been harassing CAs, and residents and causing a lot of unrest within the hall. From the beginning Nathan made the residents and CAs comfortable to share their experiences and concerns with him. He made a point to let us know that he did not see it as a problem to spend the time to listen and that he would take action to make sure that we would be safe. Nathan did not just tell the CAs and residents of the hall that he would handle to situation and he did not. He worked endlessly to make sure that residents felt safe.

Nathan also had a wonderful program that included his floor and 2nd floor. He taught the residents how to create a real meal in a microwave. We created garlic chicken, stuffing, and chocolate cake in the microwave! He was very prepared, and established a community building atmosphere when everyone was participating in the program.

Overall Nathan has done an amazing job helping West become a positive, safe, and welcoming community.
