Please explain the outstanding contributions of the nominee during the month of nomination

Joel Hardy, elected to the position of president of West Hall, has proven to be an exemplary example of an outstanding student leader. Dealing with a rough start this month, Joel has had to battle many difficulties facing West's Hall Governing Board while juggling his personal and academic lives. Although he started the month with an incomplete HGB, Joel ensured meetings went smoothly as ever and that everything that needed to get done was delegated.

At the beginning of the month, outside issues concerning some of West's executive board was beginning to take its toll on the HGB as a whole. Members were beginning to lose sight of the goals and purpose of the organization. But, realizing that this needed to be dealt with sooner rather than later, Joel quickly responded to this growing concern and took actions to get HGB back on track.

Joel is more than deserving of recognition for his hard work and dedication to West Hall. He strives to be the best he can and it definitely shows. As well as fulfilling the duties required of the president, Joel goes above and beyond by getting to know residents, communicating well with the RAMA staff in the building, and helping to create a tight-knit community in the building. Joel truly is a prime example of a great student leader on campus and is invaluable to the residents of West Hall.
