Please explain the outstanding contributions of the nominee during the month of nomination

Every once in a great while, a resident comes along whom really sets themselves apart from the others through their hard work, outstanding contributions to the on-campus community, and wonderful personality. One such resident happens to live in West Hall. Her name? Courtney Tracy.

Courtney, a returning resident to West Hall, has proven herself to be a truly outstanding resident. Being new to West, I did not know her before this school year, but she has made a lasting impression on me as a staff member of West.

The first trait that makes Courtney deserving of this recognition is her hard work. Courtney is a sophomore in elementary education, a community assistant in West Hall, the recognition chair on West Hall's HGB, and an active, contributing resident on second floor. Most students would be overwhelmed with such a tall order, but Courtney gracefully balances these aspects of her life. She strives to do her best at whatever she puts her mind to and it really shows. As a CA, Courtney has had to deal with quite a few ordeals in West this month but, as usual, she kept her cool and handled each issue with ease.

Courtney has also made many contributions to the on-campus community this month. As recognition chair in West Hall, Courtney has really done an outstanding job showing her dedication this early in the semester. Between the beginning of September and now, Courtney has implemented the nomination process of student and RA of the month. She worked hard to set up the nomination process and immediately began encouraging residents to voice their opinions and submit nominations. In addition to coordinating the recognition with West Hall, Courtney has promoted the "Of the Months" nominations.

Finally, Courtney is deserving of this nomination because of her bright, cheery personality. As a CA, Courtney sits at the front desk for hours at a time. This job might sound boring to some but, as Courtney shows, it is as fun as the CA wants it to be. Courtney always has a smile on her face and greets people as they come through the door. She deals with every aspect of her job with an air of warm optimism. As an HGB member, she shows an impressive amount of dedication to maintaining a fun and safe environment in West.

Courtney Tracy is truly deserving of this recognition. Being recognition chair in West, she humbly recognizes others for their achievements while expecting nothing in return. She is an outstanding resident, HGB member, and CA. Although she continues to impress everybody around her with these wonderful qualities, I believe she has shined especially brightly this month. And that's why, without the slightest hesitation, I am nominating Courtney Tracy for student of the month.
