| Please give a short description of the program: WU Walk-A-thon was an activity used to keep students in shape as
well as for them to have a good time and possibly win a prize. This program started earlier in the month advertising for walkers.
Students who signed up were encouraged to get people to sponsor them
in the walk and collect donations. The walk was held at the end of the month. Participants of the WU
Walk-A-Thon started walking in front of Wofford Residence Hall. The
participants walked around the entire campus two times. Each time
around the campus is about 1.5 miles. Once participants completed
one lap around, they were given a popsicle stick. At the end of the
Walk-A-Thon, participants turned in their popsicle stick. The first place winner received a USB port. Second place winner
received a $10 gift card to Walmart. Lastly, the third place winner
received a $5 gift card to Applebee's. All other participants
received a raffle ticket to compete for a Dinkins Student Union pass
that will let them into spring campus events for free. Students that
wanted to compete for a prize needed to purchase a number and sign
in. The cost of the number was $1.

| Short evaluation of the program: The WU Walk-A-Thon program was a success because the RA's were able
to get people excited about serving the community in an easy way.
The goal of the program was met by having participants collect and
donate money to Pilgrim's Inn and walking laps around campus or
entering to win a raffle. The strengths of the program were that
participants could choose to either walk around campus or simply
donate toward a raffle if they did not have the time to walk.Word Count: 82 |
