| Origin of Program: Transitioning from freshman dorms to upper class men suites can make it
difficult to meet people. The doors on the floor are not always kept
open so starting that first conversation can be difficult and there are
a lot more residents to meet. I wanted to provide my residents with a
simple and fun way to get to know the others on their floor. The program
allowed residents to learn simple facts about the others on the floor
and hopefully start up conversations with those with similar interests. Word Count: 90 |

| Please give a short description of the program: My residents were able to get to meet other people on
the floor by playing BINGO. I made BINGO boards and
passed them out to all of my residents. To complete a
square, residents had to find someone who matched the
clue. For example, "I am a freshman", "I am left
handed", "Call me by my middle name." Once a match was
found that person would write their name and room
number on the square. You cannot use yourself or any of
your roommates/suitemates for an answer. Five in a row
vertically, horizontally, or diagonally makes BINGO.
Residents who won BINGO could turn the board in and
redeem for candy bars. Completing the full board
entered my residents into a raffle of other prizes. I
gave them one week to finish and then chose from the
completed boards and gave out DVD's, T-shirts, and
other prizes.Word Count: 200 |

| Goals of the program: Meet new people on the floor.Word Count: 6 |

| Positive and lasting effects of the program: I have heard my residents since the game has ended talk about
residents they met during the game. I have noticed neighboring rooms
becoming closer friends after hunting the floor for answers together.
I think my residents also just have a better visual idea of the others
on the floor and can more readily recognize people who live on our floor.Word Count: 61 |

| Short evaluation of the program: The program overall went great. I like this program
because I feel like it reaches a lot of people.
Resident who choose not to fill out the board
themselves still get to meet people. Residents provide
answers to the clues and get to know each other and get
to participate in that way. Thus I was able to have almost everyone on
the floor participate in someway and to at least meet one new person.Word Count: 75 |

| How could this program be adapted to other campuses? The program can be done in the exact same way at any other campus. The
BINGO boards I made were personalized to my residents after I had
learned more about them. RAs can get to know their residents and then
personalize the clues. Word Count: 44 |
